Now that article 50 has been triggered, there’s a lot of speculation about the UK’s trade deals. Being alone means independence but also the loss of negotiating power. May we look to EFTA as an example of Britain’s future situation? If yes, more appropriate deals will be achieved faster, as they don’t have to be approved by the other 27, but the ties won’t be that strong and they can be less effective. What will prevail? The benefits or the costs?
